About Heavy Rotation

After separate starts to their DJ careers spanning back to the 80’s with Duncan (Driftwood) mastering the artform of Turntabalism, scratching and mixing and Dan (Noodles) discovering a world of off-centre beats. ​

They have now been DJ’ing together, combining their technical skills and musical knowledge for over 2 Decades, having hosted their own club nights, provided DJ Support for the likes of Roy Ayres, Lonnie Liston Smith, The Scratch Perverts and The Comet is Coming, been part of a band that played Glastonbury, curated and co-hosted The Ashford Create Music Festival as well as presented a previous FM Radio show. 

Heavy Rotation now sits very comfortably it it’s new home on Friday evenings. Each show we mine the depths of our personal record collections and for 2 hours bring the listener to an exploration into the new frontiers of Electronic Music (in all of its guises) from House To Techno To Hip Hop, Broken Beat and Beyond, we’ll take you back to it’s roots and dig in the vaults of Jazz, Soul, Funk, Brazilian and Worldwide Vibes.
